June 16, 2007 (Wrigley Field) - Derek Lee incited a
bench clearing brawl by slowly starting a fight with
Padres' Pitcher Chris Young. Lee walked very slowly
out toward Young, the two exchanged choice words,
and then Lee swung the first punch. Derek Lee
connected with Young's right eye. Quickly Young
retaliated with a wild right hook, but missed. Lee was
able to get a 2nd punch swung, but he wiffed too.

the fight. Both teams cleared the benches and
exchanged words. Cubs' Manager Lou Pinella was
the first of the Cubs to try to keep his man Derek Lee
from getting in any further trouble. But Lou Pinella
tripped and fell on his butt while trying to keep his
players from participating in the fist-a-cuffs.
